Red Card for Team Ebola Ty Smith March 30, 2016 Atlanta, GA
This is a disease is crazy, more than 22,000 people have been infected and almost 8,000 have died. FIFA has raised a red flag to say we need to do something to keep it out. So they decide to find a way to stop it. With this they decided to team up with the Atlanta CDC which invest in new diseases. When I first heard the news I was surprised because I didn’t know why FIFA was involved this sounded like a case for the CDC but not a soccer League. Ebola in soccer what? The National soccer league is worried about the league and this infections disease. Since there are so many teams in the league they cannot say that no one will be infected. With this worry they are making doctors monitoring the players to keep them from getting Ebola. If they are seeing a player or person that has symptoms then they have to call it in. There are many questions that people ask about if it’s safe. Keeping Ebola out didn’t last for long. A player for the African nation team came down with a case of Ebola. This sent the league on alert, he was soon picked up by a team of people that are trained with dealing with Ebola. This case of Ebola was nothing like they had ever seen so they just put the player in an air tight room so he couldn’t infect anyone. This was a mistake, he became so sick that they he fell out on the floor and died. The family was so upset that the sued the health service and won. Later that year the company went out of business.
